Guys, do we really need to have a lexicon pissing contest on Thanksgiving? :)

    Lexicon pissing contest?...

It's preferable to a Mexican pissing contest .

You've been going to the wrong Mexican pi$$ing contests. Try the bar next to the one with the donkey show.:hihi:

That's not what I typed or implied but rather what you inferred from it. It will be a blow to recruiting because he is very good IMO. His replacement may be as good, possibly better. I personally think he is a very good recruiter that will be hard to replace. However, there are recruits right now that have given us verbal commitment to Porter. They may decommit if he leaves, even if the next guy is great as well because they feel a connection to the coach. They may not.

But then I'm probably wasting my time explaining this to you as you likely know this and understood perfectly what I'm saying but just want to be argumentative. I'm not going down that road with you now. Have a great day!

It is absolutely implied and to suggest other is simply a lie.

Porter to Memphis, Recruits to Follow??

I'm happy that Porter got the Head Coach at his Alma Mater. He was a good coach and a good recruiter, and he will be missed here. However, I'm curious about any recruits that were strongly sought after by Porter for us. Does anyone think they will all follow him to Memphis, or will they go to LSU? Personally, I'd pick the bigger school in the bigger conference, but that's just me

Re: Porter to Memphis, Recruits to Follow??

:geaux: I don't see much chance of recruits following Coach Porter to Memphis. The chance of success, exposure, championships, etc., etc. is just not there and won't ever get to the level of opportunities provided by a school like LSU. Just no comparison between CUSA and the SEC and the kids know that. The greater danger is that maybe a couple decide to go to other SEC/big name schools due to his leaving. Hopefully that won't happen but the possibility is there. Stay tuned 'till NSD. :LSU231:
