Used to hate cats until I got a barn cat. She eats all the damn vermin and leaves my chickens alone. Maybe we just need to find a purpose for them.

True. We can't leave our dog alone in the house for more than about 5 hours. My son and his wife leave their 2 cats alone in the apartment for entire weekends. One of them has even taught itself to use the toilet (they haven't been able to get it to flush though).

A Facebook post a minute later on Minneapolis Scanner page said that the three police departments were responding to “multiple [911] calls” about “10-12 Somali teen males armed with hammers chasing people,” also with “several injuries reported.” Both Facebook pages regularly post summaries of police scanner audio.
