Why do you get so much joy out of Russell's failures and struggles?

I agree, even though he is much to fault for his own fate, having to play for a disfunctional organization like the Raiders comes with a price. I'm not sure the 39 mill Russell was paid is actually adequate compensation for the pain and suffering.:hihi:

BS he should pay that back. The Raiders are the idiots that gave him the guaranteed contract.

No joke... One of their arguments is that he held out of mini camp to get the guaranteed money. Duh, welcome to the NFL.

A valid question. One that will never be honestly answered either.

maybe he hates him because the 1 guy we get drafted number 1 overall since 1960 could be the biggest bust in NFL history. While it may not make LSU look bad, it doesn't do anything positive for LSU either.

I think it's more disappointment in JR for not giving it his all more than it is hate. It just comes off sounding very negative. I think all LSU fans wanted to see Russell succeed. However this is a text book case of you reap what you sow. Russell had no interest in doing what it took to be an NFL QB and fans are disappointed. I doubt any true LSU fan is happy that he failed.

I have always thought that J-Marc was a man-child, with outstanding gifts as a athlete, but not having in-game, and even in-play adjustments to make him truly great.

I was fortunate enough to be at his greatest triumph, the '07 Sugar Bowl, and he put on a great show. It was a real pleasure to watch our Tigs crush the clearly undeserving Domers. He certainly earned a great deal of respect based upon his performance on that grand stage.

Since he arrived in the Bay Area everybody that knows me has quizzed me about JR, especially Raiduh fan. It has been interesting wearing  colors out here the last two years.

As an LSU! fan I have felt embarrassed, but mostly I am sad that JR never seemed to care enough to give a good effort. He is truly in many ways the epitome of the modern spoiled athlete.

I am no Raiduh fan by a long shot, but blaming his situation on Al Davis and the organization is a little weak.

JR must assume a majority of the blame in the lack of progress in his own development if he ever wants to play in the League.

He's one of ours, and I'm still rooting for him, but I just wish this guy would show a little spirit or heart.
