i did some extensive research of brees, brady and manning a coúple of years back on the number of times that each had led their team to at least 21 points but lost....the results were staggering while brady and manning were in the high single digits, brees was in the low 20s...that number has increased by a good bit in the past two seasons....it is now pushing 30
Exactly why I said I hope so. It looked like neither of them took the right angle to make it an option.
i should not have been shocked by oakland going for two, but they must have been thinking brees gets the ball in ot and goes down for 7 and its over
You would think, but Ingram was trailing the play, like a pitch man in the option, so it seemed like that was the call. You never know with Payton because he calls some goofy shit every now and then.
brees turns around though, you dont turn back to your running back on an option play it looked like someone fucked up, likely ingram
To me, it's a no brainer. Saints haven't stopped them at all in the 2nd half, their confidence was sky high after scoring late, so why not?
it is just too bad the refs did not have the guts to call the interference as uncatchable...it was thrown 5 yards out of bounds to a running back, not someone 6 foot 5
