does anyone know what he is doing these days?

the last i can find on him, in 2010 he signed with the cincinnatti bengals. but he no longer shows on their roster. also, chad jones bio simply says that alem "formerly with the cincinnatti bengals" is his brother. so i dont know when he left the bengals.

if anyone knows anything about this former tiger, and how/what he is doing, i would appreciate a post.

    tia.

Grad school, according to his LinkedIn page:

Is it a problem that he plans to become a teacher, but he doesn't know how to spell Cincinnati?

thanks for the link. i hope he makes a good teacher. despite the misspell, he was academic all sec, and from reading his lsu bio, was somewhat serious minded. good to know he is pursuing further education, and i hope he does well in life.

Wasn't he the one who compared college football to slavery?

I remember him contributing to a loss in the Arkansas game in Little Rock by 2 horrible unsportsmanlike penalties.
One he committed on a 4th and 20 or something and gave them an automatic first down.

I am still bitter about that.

Glad he is becoming a teacher though and wanting to contribute to education. I wish more people chose this path.

His and Chad's father is a principal in NO, isn't that right? It's not surprising that he wants to follow a similar path. I imagine he'll want to coach, perhaps?

Yeah... there are a couple threads on here about it. He also made a big deal about letting everyone know that he is "African, not African-American"... I think it was in the Daily Reveille. He also said he changed his name from Al Jones because it was a "slave name".

Typical black-power bull****. Not the kind of person I'd like to see as a teacher or a coach.

A lot of people say and do things during their college years that they are not necessarily proud of later in life. I tend to give the guy a pass for saying those things because of this. People change.....just sayin'
