Watching the first one Nixon vs Kennedy Kennedy's path to the White House eerily similar to what's happening to Trump. Kennedy was considered an outsider, a threat to the Democrat establishment, not ready for the Presidency. Was thought to have no shot at the General election if nominated. LBJ tried to block the nomination at the convention but Kennedy survived barely, with 52.89 % of the delegates. Kennedy names LBJ as his VP (in a very surprise move) to try to bring the party together. Some believe LBJ blackmailed Kennedy to make him VP, threatening to release info on his womanizing. FYI, LBJ jumped into the race a week before the convention. Mitt Romney?
