If LSU had been #1 across the board I'm sure you'd guys would be saying its no big deal. I'm disappointed even though I know the difference between #1 and #5 means next to nothing. Course, Bama had a top class last year while we were 10+. So it seems Saban is working his heartless black magic for Bama.

But I have to think Nick is also benefiting from the coaching chaos going on at Auburn this year when it comes to in-state recruits.

Well,,, We led for most of the year & to get beat at the finish line by Alabama does mean something to me... I wanted to beat them, They beat us in recruiting last year & again this year, they beat us on the field last year & I don't want this to become a trend like in years past. Had enough of that... I know its just rankings & just some websites opinion but we went by that opinion all year feeling good about ourselves so we have to follow that total on the big day also.. Bama beat us again & with three Louisiana Players to boot. ugh....

Apparently there are plenty of players excited about the prospect of going to a big bowl and getting humiliated by the likes of Utah, etc. To each his own though...

We lost Bell but we picked up Montgomery. That is a trade-off I will take every day. We did not really need bell as much as we needed Montgomery. Benton was a huge disappointment, but these things happen. As you said, Sentimore was a long shot and we never offered Lacy, who may not be eligible to play anyway. The only two players we offered and lost were Bell and Sentimore.

It ain't over yet. When Jackson signs with the Tigers tomorrow that could put us back in the catbird seat.
