Mike Detillier after the spring game. Q&A with Mike Detillier on LSU Spring Football: Offense Posted 4/19/16 Continued from Part 1 (Defense)… Scott: Ok, now turning to the offense… There's been a lot of talk coming from the coaches and players about LSU putting a renewed emphasis on the passing game. A few questions here: Do you see this as a direct result of Coach Miles' near-firing? Maybe a directive from Athletic Director Joe Alleva? Or did the staff just come to the realization that something had to give? And do you really expect things to be significantly different? Mike: Even without the threat of a Les Miles firing we have heard that song and dance each year and it all looks the same as the years before. Bottom line is that you have to develop a short-medium range passing offense and it hasn't happened. Look at the spring game. How many passes were thrown short over the middle to the slot receiver or tight end? Don't give me that stuff about saving things for a real game. We heard that before the Alabama game and it didn't change. Isn't this what we have seen before? I hope it develops, but I have to see it first. http://www.dandydon.com/Mike_Detillier_on_LSU_Spring_football_Offense_2016.php Yes, sounds like the SOS to us too Mike. I hold out hope every year, but I prepare myself for the same putrid passing game that Miles delivers year after year.
You may be right and I may be in the minority but I dam sure don't care to go watch an intersquad scrimmage.
Yeah and maybe another "Fan Day" type of thing after for kids to get auto's. Course they'd have to spend a lot for security to keep whack jobs like shane off of Les.
