the kid looked amazing, he was a perfect 11 for 11 passing for 175 yards, with 2 touchdowns, and ran 13 times for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was throwing darts on the move and really looked like a man among boys out there. They had some really good big wide receivers too, and 2 great running backs in Hasan Lipscomb who is a verbal to Minnesota, and a Defensive back that played running back in cleanup time named Mike Powell who had 2 touchdown runs, one of 88 yards, and another one of 60 yards.

I cant wait to see Russell Sheppard suit up in the purple and gold.

He'll be the new "most popular guy on campus". He'll have to be really quite good to beat out an experienced Jarrett Lee next year or the year after. And JJ might have something to say about it too!

I've never seen quite so much talent at this position at LSU. I just wish they were all spaced out a little bit more...next year we'll have a three-way battle between a Sophomore, a RSF and a True Freshman.

    Wow.

Garrett is having a great year at Tupelo as well. When he becomes a 4-star, he'll be getting more attention.

There's a good shot that we're going to eventually lose one of these folks to a transfer - even if RS ends up playing WR. 2010 has some studs in the class as well that LSU has a great shot at.

Which is what was always said about Matt Flynn, but we'll just have to see how it works out. Bottom line is: we'd rather have log jam with older QB's than end up so very green in that position, like we are this year.

No doubt. I just think the drama of it all is interesting.
