Actually there's apparently quite a bit of room for improvement on the coaching side of shit. Remember when we first brought in BG as the WR coach? Apparently no one before him was doing their job, since BG had to teach these kids how to stand at the LOS, catch balls, and run simple routes. And yes I remember the yester-years... but i'd have no problem losing if we got legitimately beat, but losing because you want to run fake FGs straight into 11 people does not constitute needing or warranting a pay raise.
Bama hired the man that sold his soul to the Debil and could only be defeated by the mortal known as Johnny Foosball. It goes beyond logic and percentages, into the mystery of the dark universe.
Read my past posts, I don't advocate firing or getting rid of Les Miles... in this thread my only issue was someone commenting on him leveraging for a pay raise. Imo I just don't think he deserves a pay raise. The math geek wizards in here think i'm nuts for thinking we should've won multiple NCs, even though there's a few other teams that seemed to have no problems getting it done. My sole premise is easy to understand; Until Les Miles gets the Bama monkey off his back and gets us to more frequent trips to ATL and the NC, you get no more money. Fuck why should he get more money?
Les should get a blank check. We are working with monopoly money same way when idiots were crying about 1 million being too extravagant when Saban was here. They can't outprice you on tickets that's not how it works. A perennial 10 win team in the sec with regular bcs wins is worth whatever number you can imagine. Welcome to reality you dummies.
Anyone who isn't worried about the possible consequences of Miles leaving is an unmitigated freaking idiot.
The worst decision Miles would ever make would be to believe he could go to another SEC team needing rebuilding and win 10 games a season. He isnt going anywhere yet.
