I promise you if Nicky left Bama for LSU the gumps in the SEC office would add the adjective for you.
For the record, the pilots at my airline have not received a raise in this century!!! In fact, the hourly pay on the S80 is less today than it was in 2000. Not that anyone cares but when you read an article spun by the management media machines, keep that in mind.
I went 3 years without a raise, and was ready to leave my job for a new one. Then they gave me 3 raises in 3 months. I'm happier now!
Yeh it's a real offer, although I didn't doubt it when I first read it on twitter yesterday. But in all fairness how does he have a warranted need for a raise? He clearly makes more money in a month than probably 98% of the population in this country. Imo in order to justify a raise i'd say a few things need to happen first: Beat Bama more than once every other year. Win another National Title. Bring in a real OC. He currently besides his contract salary will see bonuses due to graduating athletes, among other bonuses. I'm willing to bet his bonuses are pretty substantial... to be honest Miles needs no more money. There shall be no more money talk until we win another BCS title.
Nice thought and in many ways I agree. However LSU and Miles aren't operating in a vaccuum but in a market that measures worth on what the others are willing to pay. LSU needs to recognize this and be proactive without being stampeded. Easier said than done.
Exactly! Having said that, he's still the 4th highest paid coach in the country. He's already being paid what he should be. I want alleva to take a hard line because we all know he's not going to Arkansas.
I agree to a point. Rkansas is a nobody, a never was anybody. Their willing to put all their eggs in one basket because their irrelevant, no one wants their job. If their willing to pay $5.5M/yr. then I would have to say, "Thank you for everything you've done for this program... but we won't be giving you $5.5M". It would definately suck to lose Miles, but no fuckin way is he worth $5.5M... shit for that amount of money Harbough would probably come to LSU.
Forget about the OC. Miles is the head coach & he has the final say on most of the plays. He could hire God as the OC & on 3rd & 1 LSU is running it up the gut because that's what Miles does. I agree there is something wrong wih the offense but he still wins 80 +% of his games.
Really don't matter to me if he left or stayed. LSU>Miles... Tuberville could do what Miles has done at LSU.
WTF is the point of winning 82%+ of your scheduled games if it doesn't produce multiple Championships? Don't get me wrong winning games is great, but where's the Championships?
