I'd call his bluff and tell him if he'd coach at Arkansas for more money, have at it. Further, if he's not happy with the amount of money he makes, his inability to manage obviously isn't exclusive to game clocks.
I was thinking the same thing. He wouldn't have nearly the advantages there that he has here (recruiting base, history/national interest, etc.). He'd be a fool to walk. However, it'd be hard to blame him if he felt underappreciated at LSU being as a startling number of jackasses in our fanbase scoff at his success and continually knock his ability to coach.
He's going nowhere. Just playing the game. Two mediocre seasons and he can be chiziked. You get it when the gettins good. No big deal.
Keeping your trump card happy and not risking your entire athletic depts revenue on a stupid bluff is why you cannot be AD or manage a circle k.
Miles has a contract that he signed. When it is due, he will renegotiate it and get his raise . . . or not. No one has forgotten the 2012 Championship game and that is was lost due to head coaching mistakes. He would have gotten a raise if he had won, but he didn't.
Try to pay attention. That's not what I said. I said his bosses at LSU are under no obligation to renegotiate his contract for losing a national championship, only for winning one.
LOL - while he negotiates behind the scenes? Be cool folks, it's always drama and shock in college football LOL
