I am not trying to diss anyone, or be negative, but if Miles had come out after the Bama game, and spoke his mind about the SEC officials, do you think this team would have been more focused on the task at hand, or do you think it wouldn't have made a difference? Would the fanbase be roasting Miles right now, calling for his head, or do you think the fanbase would be by his side right now defending him?
No. His own mother couldnt defend this. But he should have stood up for his players after Bama. He failed on both occasions. But this is much worse.
I think it's a pretty safe assumption to say there's some flip floppers around here, based on how LSU plays each week. I have made critical statements of Miles and the staff before and been called a retard, a troll and a fake LSU fan... then we lose to OM last night (a game everyone thought we'd lose at the beginning of the year anyway) and now a few of the louder, more vocal "regulars" are up in arms and calling for Les' head on the thanksgiving platter... I think people need to chill out a little and either get a refill on the zanax or smoke it if you got it... Miles is going to be here next year, hopfully (fingers crossed) with a new OC... maybe things will turn around, if not, then by the end of the 2011 season LSU should part ways. Hell maybe then we could get PC and everyone will be happy again.
one has nothing to do with another. with all due respect lasalle, you are beating a dead horse to death. (yes, i know the correct term is "beating a dead horse". the way i put it is a hawthorne-ism.)
No, no difference at all Some fans were roasting him after a win this year. It doesn't matter what Miles did in the past, its more like what have you done for me lately! It was the same way when someone else was the coach here. Its this way with any fanbase of any team btw. Nothing new here. Les Miles is getting roasted because he can't manage the game clock very well. Some have been saying it for a while and last nite proved it. Also if there is any truth to the rumors of lying about the last play then there is a more serious problem. Guess What! NONE of this matters if we didn't have the worst offense in the SEC btw. Oh, maybe we don't have the worst offense in the SEC, might as well!
Right now, people will call for his head if he looks at the camera wrong. After a loss, it really doesn't matter. All the good things you did are forgotten, and the skeletons are pulled back out of the closet for further examination:tigereye:
Folks here aren't as concerned about this loss as they are as to the way we lost. Keep that in mind. No one was as upset after the Fla & Bama losses. THAT'S keeping perspective.
