It is my wish that late term abortions be allowed only if it is a choice between two lives. I support a womans right to choose but after the first term the choice has already been made.
I don't agree with that, but I understand your position. Also, it is my and my wife's opinion that if it was between the new baby and my wife, the baby will be given a chance to live. However this video was not related to that at all and performs 6 month terminations as a "normal" practice. Thats my issue with this. How is it that 6 months is OK to simply, change your mind?
I agree Pride. If you cannot reach a decision to terminate or not by the end of the first trimester then abortion needs to be off the table unless the life of the mother is in jeopardy, at which point the decision should be made by the individual families based upon their individual beliefs, just like Pride alluded to earlier. I would definitely favor legislation to limit abortion to the first trimester with the lone exception being if the life of the mother is in question, at which point it would revert to the families choice. I have to question any doctor who would even consider performing an abortion after that point in the pregnancy.
I agree. I know my families opinion and while I disagree with an opinion to let the mother live, I can respect and understand it. I just seriously have a hard time with this 6 month abortion. I dunno, its like in that video and others, they truly just don't give a shit. I mean the baby feels pain, moves and is for the most part, developed.
The Dr Kermit Gosnell trial is probably to biggest trial not to get mainstream media coverage. I think people who believe in a woman's right to choose (which is they believe in abortion) don't want to talk about late term abortions. It gets too close to murder and challenges their morality. Better to stick to a slogan and look the other way.
this guy is a murderer, plain and simple. glad to see he was convicted. and you are right, it's a travesty that this case didn't get more media attention.
