Question on OSU recruit Ryan McBean

    He is a junior college transfer that has signed a letter of intent with OSU. He is listed as the #6 JC transfer in the nation. A 5-star rated DE.

    Is the letter of intent making it final that he must transfer to this school? Can he reneg on it and come to LSU instead?

    I think he can get released from his LOI, a few years back I think that David Padgett was allowed to do this (in basketball) after Roy Williams left Kansas. He ended up going to Kansas still, but he was going to be allowed to go to UNC if he had chose to do so. That doesn't really answer your question for sure though.
