Hey guys,I'm making the trip down from NC for the App State game. Went to Michigan last year, looking forward to seeing a game firsthand at the mecca of the SEC. I'm looking to get tickets from StubHub or something like that and was curious where the visiting sections were. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot!
These are the areas I typically see opposing fans. There may be others. I'm sure someone else will let you know. And have fun at the game. Don't be shy.
Not sure how well ASU fans travel, but if they send LSU back any tickets I'm sure 643 would be the ones.
Pull up a chair and stay awhile. We enjoy an opposing teams fan providing some insight to their team, and especially a team that we don't know much about. ('cept for that whole Michigan thing:thumb Been a while since we played you guys, and I'm sure the team has changed faces since then. Feel free to ask us questions about LSU as well.
The visiting band should be in 402 or 403, I saw that ASU is bringing an 80 member pep band. You would probly do much better tryin to get tix from your fellow ASU fans, call the school. I imagine you would pay much more than necessary thru StubHub for this game. eBay is good, and you'll definitely be able to get tix outside the stadium within a few hours of kick-off if you really want to save $$ (but nobody wants to make that drive without havin 'em in hand).
Well, heres the jist of it. 1)Secondary is all new: talented and fairly experienced, but very little starting experience 2)Linebackers are strength of the defense this year. DJ Smith is preseason defensive player of the year and Jacque Roman is also really solid. Very quick, not very big all around 3)DL is talented but fairly unproven. We had a few get the boot (see former LSUer Tim Washington). Our run defense was our achilles heel throughout last season 4)Skill positions are loaded on offense. Armanti Edwards is as good as advertised and our receivers and RBs, while lacking starting experience in some places, all have played in big games. WRs to keep an eye on would be CoCo Hillary,Josh Johnson, and Bryan Quick (6'5). Devon Moore will start at RB, but honestly whoever comes in at RB will be solid because of Armanti and because of the scheme. 5)OLine graduated 3 starters but again...there is starting experience and talent there. They are the unsung heroes of this football team. Solid at C and T, but the guards will be thrown into the fire as we lost Kerry Brown and Jon Holt, both three year starters. TE isn't a main focus of our offense, but we have a few young un's. 6)Special Teams-new kicker, punter was a bit of revolving door. Hillary is a solid return man. For us to hang around,Armanti has to have an awesome game and we have to stop the run while putting pressure on the QB. Curious to see how we do with so much speed coming at us. Also, keep in mind that 90 degrees is the hottest day in any Boone summer, so depth will be a help for LSU.I don't think any of us has any visions of seeing Michigan happen again in our lifetime, but alot of us don't want to miss out just in case . Plus, had to sell my tickets to the last game in LSU because of Katrina fallout. Hope this answered some questions, I've been shopping for tickets for the last 30 minutes Murph-App class 07'
We were wondering about getting them outside. That might be a good option. Cheapest I've found for two together is $86 plus service. eBay is looking like over $100 apiece right now. ASU folks with money gobbled these up through Yosef club and being a 2nd yr teacher...I didn't have the option . I've got my ear to the ground with a few App folks...
Welcome to TF! Stick around till gametime, then stick around some more if you like to talk college football. We have an eclectic group here, pretty fun and just a little rowdy sometimes. We have fans who found us for a one game engagement a long time ago who stick around and they're like family, like Hawker45 from Iowa and Mr. Peabody from Oklahoma.
