Lots of stuff pointed Randle to LSU that people refused to acknowledge and even now, still refuse to recognize, they only nitpick at the biggest disaster scenario they can think of with him. Its subtle but their has been a few hints towards LSU. How people continue to try to compare Randle with the Mcknight situation is beyond my comprehension. Rueben and the Randle family does not belong same sentence as Mcknight, that is totally unfair. I think he will end up with the Tigers, as their has practically been nothing to show hes favoring Bama. Their has been subtle signs pointing to LSU though. But I must admit, him being bored at the recent game and his dad's comments have me starting to get concerned. He may not even end up at LSU or Bama. I'm starting think he was a LSU lean but is starting to waiver a little with our recent struggles.
With Loston, Davenport, and Shepard, I'm excited, but I would REALLY like to see Randle as a Tiger. And it would be nice to have more than 2 5-star recruits. LSU has got to get top LBs in there one day instead of these marginal players. We need another Bradie James, and from what I understand, we still don't have a top LB commit. I see a guy named Minter, but we need more OLBs.
If someone told me we could have both Jones and Telfort in exchange for Randle, I would take it in a heartbeat. That tells you all you need to know about our linebacking situation.
I agree, it would be very very nice to have Randle and I sure hope he comes, but we absolutely NEED LB's very bad.
Right. Just like others say we don't need CMichael at RB b/c we have Ford and Pratt coming in, I would agree with you that given how many quality receivers we will have on the roster, LB is a bigger need position. Still would prefer to have RR + the LBs mentioned, but if you had to say in lieu of, I would want those two LBs.
My point exactly. We can land good DTs, DEs, SSs, FSs, CBs, but LB has been bad for a few years. What gives? If it weren't for Highsmith's bad grades, he wouldn't have been at LSU initially.
