If LSU finishes in the top 5 in recruiting will you be happy even if that means we lose Rueben Randle? Dont get me wrong i want him at LSU very bad but if we finish in the top 5 in recruiting i will be very happy. That keeps the talent coming and keeps us in the hunt. I am really excited about this class right now because we have some great kids committed. Yes it is possible we lose one or two but we will get one or two as well. I am looking forward to seeing this class help LSU on the field and our future looks very bright. Will you be happy with this class if it signs as is? I will.
It would be one thing if this was the McKnight saga all over again and Randle goes on to play for a team we will most likely never face (i.e., USC). It's clearly another thing that Randle would then be presented the opportunity to haunt his home state school for the next 4 years at Bama. It's looking more and more like Debose is a lock, and he is arguably the 2nd best WR in the recruiting class. That's not a bad get if I say so myself. Debose, Benton, Bell. Is that enough of a haul at WR? Hell yeah. But Randle is that can't miss Julio Jones/AJ Green type player that can and probably will have an impact as a true freshman.
We're already pretty much a top 5 lock so losing randle woudl suck. However, if we started from scratch, i would take top 5 over randle any day of the week.
Randle, Benton, Toliver, Tolliver, Peterson, Debose, Bell. Add in LaFell as a senior. It would clearly be the most talent LSU has ever had at any one time.
Just like islstl said in another thread, if we were to not add any more players, we would still have a top 5 class probably but with the guys we're going to land expect top 3 at least, but yeah gotta land Randle, Debose will be nice but having him and Randle would be amazing.
can you be both? of course I'll be happy if we get a Top 5 class, but very unhappy if we don't get Randle. and yes, I'm still bitter about McKnight...maybe more about the way it went down but nonetheless, not a happy camper.
Is it possible that Randle is holding out because he doesn't want to hear the crap about going to Alabama? Seriously, it seems like he would have committed by now... Looks like the SEC will be represented well in the top 5 as we are going to have close to the top class again this year. Should be some exciting SEC west football in the coming years!
I expected it to go close to NSD with Randle like most major prospects. I still see him in P&G despite all the rumors. Not saying Bama is not in it but he will be a Tiger and stay with his current and past teammates..
