Bennie Brazell won a football championship in January, 2004 and a track championship in March, 2004. Therefore, Mitchell would be the second. If the men's track team had performed as expected in Iowa last week, Trindon Holliday and Ricky Jean-Francois would have also accomplished this feat. However, Holliday is still on track to win a national championship and an Olympic gold medal (4x100) in the same year.
