Okay, against my better judgment, I'm going to post this... I am not a graduate of LSU. I graduated from a different school and here are my rules for who to root for in varying circumstances. 1. If LSU is strong in a particular sport and my school is not, I will always root for LSU 2. If my school is strong and LSU is not in a particular sport, I will root for my school but with a little sadness. 3. If both schools are having good/great years and it's an equally important game for both schools, I don't really root for anybody but I have to stand behind my alma mater in this situation. So I guess I'm not as die hard as everyone else but i assure you I take wins and losses under normal circumstances just as seriously if not more seriously than anyone here. My wife knows not to talk to me for at least the rest of the day after an LSU football loss and probably all weekend if it's a big game. So there you go. Ban my IP address if you must.
It better not ever happen if they qualified for scholarships. My kids are a 3rd generation that will attend LSU. If it did, with the exception of athletic scholarship, I would pay. I am understanding enough that should LSU not offer them an athletic scholarship but other universities do, I would not prevent them from pursuing their athletic dreams. The reason I left open the door with, "should never happen". I would hate it, but I would have to accept it.
rooting for your alma mater or your child are justifiable excuses (barely). everything else is sacrilege
this. I still root for my community college I voted that you should be castrated. Without those two that you posted, there is no reason.
