If this article doesn't bother you then you are over it. It shouldn't... Good test...better than those teen magazine ones.
I must be over it, this bothers me zilch. I don't know if it's because Saban doesn't bother me, or Fimebaum, but he's a bombthrower with an obsession with LSU. Probably because like a lot of bama fans, they're envious and want what we have.
key words in bold. Those 90k + showed up at the spring game, 'cause that was their only gauranteed win.
If you lived in Louisiana, you would have met a lot of them. You clearly do not understand that it is a term that CAN BE OFFENSIVE when used by Anglo's. I've seen more than one person get his ass whipped for using that term in the wrong context. Funny the only people I know that were offended were Alabama fans. Did you forget that Nick dropped the F-bomb in his comments, too! Did you forget that Les was also speaking off-the-record at at function where reporters were not allowed? One sneaked in and violated his own ethics, just as it happened with Nick. Lecturing us on own board is not very cool, Terry. :dis: You know you won't get deleted here, but you damn well can get a tart response, amigo.
No lecture, just a question Red. But, you've come close to the point. I don't see one as being different from the other. And, I don't see anything in either situation that is that big of a deal. It's nothing more (on both sides) of people looking for any little thing they can bring up in the context of taking a jab at the other program and/or coach. Personally, with Miles comment, I found that pretty funny. It's much like the article that TB3 linked with Finebaum speaking to a specific audience...Miles was doing the same thing. He knew there was a lot of angst towards Alabama and Saban and he was using that...again, no big deal. Tuberville is doing the same thing now with using the "6" in every situation he can...
One thing that seems to be missed when making jokes about the attendance at A-day is it was noticed by the recruits. Impressed the recruits. In fact, there are players in the class of '09 that are still talking about it.
Terry, while you are here and I don't want to start a new thread on the subject but what is the reason Bama cancelled plans on expansion of the stadium, stating economic concerns? I know you have said Bama is finacially set but that along with keeping Gotfried and hiring a cheap women's coach kind of makes you wonder where the money is. I am sure there is a more logical reason.
If you guys lose 6 games again next year, the following Spring game might not have the same attendance. Your current recruits might get their feelings hurt.
