Let me first say that the Broncos and the Tigers have had a very similar season this year.
The Broncos defense was great as some of you know but haven't played
    very well lately.
I don't know if it is all just rumors or not?

Gary Kubiak left the Broncos as offense coordinator to take the head coaching
    job at Houston.
Mike Anderson is gone and you have Mike and Tatum Bell at running back and
    Javon Walker at wide receiver.
The offense hasn't been the same this year but there is no way that it is all
Jake Plummer's fault since we have had no running game at Denver.
You could say well Jake the mistake is back but the thing that I don't understand
is that Jake Plummer has the same winning record as John Elway
had at this point of his career in Denver.

I guess like I've always thought, the back up quarter back is always the most
    popular guy on the team.
I just don't get it, throwing Jay into the fire, seems like Mike Shanahan would
be risking the rest of the season.
Jay could do better but he also could do worse.
I'm totally against this unless it is the quarter back shuffle, seems you should
start Plummer and then bring Jay in for a few series to see how he can do.

No rushing attack?? The Broncos are currently 8th in the NFL averaging 133 yards per game. They are only 4 yards per game from being ranked 4th.

I've been watching the Broncos since 1972. Although Plummer & Elway may have the same winning record at that particular point in their careers, trust me when I tell you that Plummer is/has been surrounded by a hell of a lot more offensive talent than John was at the same point. The defense is better also. And last, but not least, Plummer is surrounded by better coaching. Don't get me started on Dan Reeves. :angryfire

    This is a foregone conclusion.

The play by Plummer was etrocious on Thanksgiving night vs. KC.

The Broncos figure they won't be any worse off with Cutler and it prepares Cutler to get some experience going into next season.

Broncos need to get another WR to compliment Jevon Walker in the offseason. Rod Smith's effectiveness as a WR has pretty much come to an end, sadly.

Shanahan knows that if he keeps Plummer in there, they aren't going anywhere. They might make the playoffs with him, but they will be ousted in the first round. Might as well take a chance in Cutler.

I am actually betting they turn their season around with Cutler in there.

    I guess I should re-phrase that?
    Inconsistant rushing attack?
Certain games we weren't able to rush the ball well enough to win the game or couldn't pick up the extra yard for the 1st down.
The running game certainly isn't what we are used to and it has hurt the
    quarterback play.
Jake Plummer can't throw every down like a passing qb or Dan Marino could?
The defense has also hurt us lately, but turning the ball over on our side of
    the field hasn't helped.
I think it just seems weird that we have a new offensive coordinator and have offensive woes all season and it seems to fall on Jakes shoulders.
The funny thing is I almost abandoned the Broncos after they re-signed
Jake Plummer before last season when you look at the season before last.

    Dan Reeves?
    How about Wade Phillips?
Isn't he the one that benched John Elway?

Plummer stunk when Kubiak was the OC.

I'm excited to see what Cutler can do. I mean, it can't be any worse than when Bummer was starting. The offense has been pretty bland all year, and this appears to be the season for young QB's to have an immediate impact. Here's to hoping he tears it up!

Denver needs to throw the ball downfield to stretch the defenses. It became apparent to everyone that Plummer couldn't make those throws, so even the mightly Denver rushing attack started to suffer and fail.
