I agree, except I don't believe it's all of the players. I look at the cats playing wide receiver. Their asses should be sat down. Give the Mitchells and Toliver their opportunities against Troy.

If someone at my workplace is disgruntled because they don't like someone else's personality or attitude... and their work product is suffering, they will be 'benched' as it were... not the cat they have a problem with.

I can promise you that if #9 were ready he'd be playing. They went with Hatch in the UGA game after Lee threw his second 6 and it was blatantly obvious he can't throw the ball down the field.

You will see Jefferson against Troy. You will also see him suck it up... book it.

Nonsense. He sure as hell could do worse. You're salivating for a QB that no one has seen play, except the coaches who have not played him, for some reason. Think about that reason.

I have a very different idea of who is a joke here. This is a rebuilding year for LSU and we can still go 10-3!

What the hell is wrong with you???? Miles could have won the SEC again except he had the courage to dump Perrilloux. You just want a scapegoat to blame. Look, LSU has no inherent right to win them all. Some years we just won't make it to the championship game. Geez . . .

Seriously?? So EVERY scholarship player is required to come in and play like a starter in his freshman year? Are you listening to yourself?

We screw up JJ's psyche and there's no next year, either. Stop thinking so narrowly.

We can lose three of the next three and still make a bowl. Who's going to leave the defending Nat'l Champs out if they're eligible? The Liberty Bowl would LOVE to have us...so much so that they are probably praying we'll lose.

Crip, man...it's okay. Let it go. This is only the present. The future is still bright for LSU. In fact, I think the best is yet to come.

Maybe not play like a starter for every down but to come in for a few snaps for a change of pace. OR at the very least to take some snaps against TULANE!

We really need to look at our talent scouts if all we get is players with fragile minds. Having him take some snaps against Bama to change the pace up or light a fire under Lee's ass I dont think is asking to much.

Hell they could have put him out there during the Wild Tiger formations they ran.

While I agree we can lose the next 3 and we are still bowl eligible and yes some pissant bowl would be licking their chops to get us the one thing that bothers me is...

We would be 6 - 6 with 4 STRAIGHT loses!

    :milesmic:

I know this. I said this about Lee after the Auburn game when everyone was ready to crown him, I was saying there is something wrong.

If they started to get Jefferson ready then and he still isnt ready thats on him.

If they didnt and the coaches didnt see the problems with Lee then its on them.

Next year is next year but I dont want to see them to just write off this season yet.

JJ being ready or not had nothing to do with how many snaps he got for Tulane.
    Jarrett Lee NEEDED those snaps.
JJ was NOT going to play vs. Bama.
    Jarett Lee NEEDED those snaps.
JJ taking those snaps woud have been completely pointless, except to generate buzz on message boards.

I agree that he should have seen substantial time against Tulane since Hatch was gone...that was mismanaged. But since he didn't get any time, I wouldn't have played him at all against Bama, either. It's been said several times that the time to break in a QB - backup or otherwise - is not against a Nick-Saban defense.

See above...and even in the Wild Tiger, I have to say that I haven't seen anything of his running ability that would suggest he could have done better than Murphy.

That would bother any Tiger Fan. But it's not going to happen. The team that beat Auburn, South Carolina, and Mississippi State is not going to lose to Troy...probably not Arkansas either. And the team that hung tight with Bama is not going to get beat by Ole Miss, either. Worst-case is we get two out of three and end the regular season 8-4.

I agree there's been something wrong with Lee all season, as well. And I stick with my theory that it's mostly inexperience. His timing is off. His reads are bad. His confidence is shaky. Translation: he's a freshman who's being asked to perform like a senior.

If it didn't seem like he was regressing rather than developing, I would still be in favor of him keeping the job for the rest of the season for some more on-the-job training. As it is, I'm worried that he might be too far gone to recover properly. And as I've said, it's a shame.

    Because it's a stupid thread.

Get a grip, Dude. You're panicking. Go play with your daughter and realize what's really important in this short life of ours.:thumb:

I'm curious are you trying to say that a few weeks worth of taking snaps with the 1st / 2nd team offense and JJ SHOULD be ready to lead this team?

If that's the case, you have awefully high expectations from your freshman QB's.

It's rare for a Freshman QB to come in and take over, especially in the SEC.

Maybe not lead the team but he should have been able to come in and take some snaps against Tulane!
