He just doesn't have what it takes right now. But we can't really turn to Hatch or Jefferson either. Just so annoying to watch a loaded offense being held back by an inexperienced QB. Thank God we get Russell Shepard next year.
Why not? Hatch is yet to throw a pick-6. Jarret "Pick Six" Lee can throw it far, but is overall an abysmal QB. Josh Booty reincarnated. His stats are inflated due to screens, good WRs, and UGA giving up late in the game. How many incompletions in a row were there? That INT at the end of the second half sucked all of the momentum out of the stadium, and we had a TON - enough to start tacking on the points. But Lee threw his signature pick. Hatch isn't any worse and neither is Jefferson.
True, but I'm not convinced Hatch could've won this game for us. Bottom line, we're suffering at the most important position on offense. No where to go but up from here, right? I doubt very seriously we win with Hatch starting.
With the exception of the very first TD, Scott scored 2 and the others came on little screen passes that Williams did all the work on. That first TD was on Lees arm thats it, SO I wont say that we WOULD have won, but I dont see Hatch throwing those 3 INTS either.
Agree dont see how you can redshirt a QB when you dont even have one that can consistently play without making costly mistakes. Especially the type of mistakes Beer Pog Lee makes.
Intresting comment from Miles himself! During the post game stuff on 98.1 they were interviewing Miles and he said, "We cant have our guy STARING down the reciever so that everyone and their brother KNOWS where he is about to throw it"
At least we now know it takes Miles 7 games to realize stuff. could be helpful in the future, or not.
Maybe not that he is just realizing but more to the fustration coming out that Lee is not where he thought he would be! I guess we will find out against Tulane how hurt Jefferson is.
