This is the ONLY comment I have about this game and then I will hang up and look at the comments from the Roundtable.

Hatch has NO ARM but has a better understanding of the Offense

Lee has an ARM but cant make a good pass to save his life.

JJ dont know what he has but Does not have a handle on the playbook.

    Fellas we are in trouble!

And I got a feeling that if Lee is to remain the starter he is gonna get one of our WRs seriously hurt!!

I said it after the Auburn game the reason he looked so good was the fact that our wideouts were making some AWSOME catches.

Well even Jerry fricking Rice cant catch a ball thrown 2 yards behind him. I counted at least 4 times last night that if Lee hits the Wrs on the run its possibly a TD.

I am not upset with the INTs those are gonna happen thats football, I am upset at his inability to make the pass.

And the sad thing is BECAUSE of the Auburn game he can do no wrong and everyone is gonna assume that the blame should be placed with the WRs and their sudden case of droppies!

I say the Hatch/Lee experiment is over and lets see what JJ can do against an inferiour S. Carolina team before UGA comes to town!

I don't agree that QB is our biggest problem. No QB looks good if his team is one-dimensional, and Florida completely took our run away last night. That put Lee in a very bad position, and our WR's weren't tearing it up last night, either. Our entire team sucked for this game.

Our defense is a MUCH more pressing concern in my eyes. Something is definitely wrong there, and it started last year. Now, I don't particularly care if teams score on us, as long as we are aggressive, but we've backed off on being aggressive.

Last night was flat-out embarrassing, but that happens to every team out there at one time or another. How embarrassed do you think OU was after USC pasted them in the BCSNCG in '04? How embarrassed has Ohio State been after getting blown out by Florida, LSU, and USC? How embarrassed was Texas getting blown out 2 or 3 Red River Shootouts in a row in the early part of the decade?

It's how we respond from here on out that will tell the tale of what is, in reality, a rebuilding year. You know what those are. Florida went through one last year, losing FOUR games, while their QB won the Heisman.

    Lee was 23-38 (60.5%), 209 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs.

Yeah, those two interceptions were really bad, but it's still not a horrid performance for a redshirt freshman playing in the Swamp in his 3rd SEC game of his career.

Also, Lee had some good passes that got dropped by his receivers.

Agree, let's take a breath and calm down and see how the team responds the rest of the season.

A good post Crip, but I disagree. You are right that Hatch does not have an SEC arm, and that Lee has been throwing behind his receivers all season, and again last night.

He was a redshirt, and knows the offense better than JJ. I assume that's why he's in there. I'm ok with that. After RP left, we knew we'd be young and inexperienced at QB. How long does it take to get 2 years experience? 2 years. No way to hurry it up, we just have to go through it. Coaches can see what JJ can do now.

My belief is that Lee is the best option at QB right now, and he'll be better next season. It is what it is.

I think our main problem on offense last night was that we didn't go vertical. Even if the passes were incomplete you at least make them respect it and that would have opened up the run. Lee is more accurate with the long passes than the short ones and I believe that would have made a difference.

Defense is another story though they were on the field all night.

Meaning he can throw it further then a duck 5 yards down the field like we have seen Hatch do.

    But yeah your right!

There was 1 passes to Lafell that he SHOULD have caught but didnt. The rest of Lees passes were either high, to far in front or way to far behind.

When a Wrs has to turn is body completly around to attempt a catch thats the QBs fault.

Our Wrs have speed but if the QB doesnt get them the ball WHILE they are running their route we are not gonna get those big plays!

You know what I cant believe I am gonna say this BUT

When JR first started he did not have a good handle on the game play but his talent made up for that by leaps and bounds.
IF JJ is as talented as everyone has said..AND since we have already BURNED his redshirt why not through the guy in there this game and see what happens.

Being inexperienced and not being able to hit a moving target are 2 very different things.

Put it this way....If Lee was providing for his family by HUNTING they would go hungry!
