Bernanke: Fed would supply more stimulus if needed - Yahoo! Finance

Bernanke is a freaking idiot and the Federal Reserve should be shut down.

I will sum up everything you have contributed to the board in your 3600 posts.

    Ron Paul is good.
    Ben Bernanke is bad.
    The governemnt spends too much.
    The government taxes too much.
Half the population does not pay taxes.
    Ugghh

You should never have to post again.

i ike to say there are lots of people of roughly IQ 110 that get obsessed with one or two things and think they have it all figured out. like some folks will be obsessed with sort of arms-length understanding of politics that basically only really entails disliking republicans and loving jon stewart and 13 page articles in rolling stone.

and some folks will decide that the only thing that matters in the world is the fed, and every other issues relates to that, and they will say the same quotes over and over, and thats their thing. they re like rich man's conpiracy theorists. they have some of the same "i see behind the curtain becaue i am smart, but really i am intellectually insecure" mentality, but not as bad as the conspiracy theorist.

You have to admit modern central banking is not completely without it risks....fiat currencies do not have a good history. What is to stop the FED from debasing the dollar to a point where it loses its reserve currency status?
Who can stop them if they are hell-bent on inflating our way out of a double-dip recesssion?

They have too much power, way to much power and they are unelected.

Inflation isn't out of control yet. But it is definitely on the way up and with Bernanke at the controls the sky is the limit.

Why do you think gold is at an all time high? Gas prices up, food prices up...season ticket prices up.....what has gone down in price, your cell phone bill?

i dunno, crazies buy it i guess. i have no use for gold.

dont worry you will be ok.

yesterday i needed some woodstain, so i went walking around the borough of queens kinda randomly looking for hardware stores. i found lots of weird discount stores. and they have so much stuff that costs nothing. i bought an HDMI cable for 3$. they even have food staples like sacks of beans for 4$. yunno how healthy beans are? they are ridiculous.

everything on earth is is insanely cheap, with the exception of health care.

lodging seems expensive until you realize you have 10x as much space as you actually need. when i leave new york and i see the size of the apartments my friends have i am stunned at the space they have. they use the space to store stuff they do not need. every american i have ever met has way too much stuff, too much money to burn. my grandparents used to make their own clothes sometimes. now that is unthinkable because everything is so cheap we cant be bothered.

so, no, i am not worried about inflation. like every american, i can afford much more than i need to make myself happy, and always will be able to. again, the only thing of any significant cost whatsoever is health care.
