At this point in time LSU should be a dream come true for a QB looking to transfer and eager to make his mark. No harm in keeping everything on the table from our perspective while Mettenberger pays his dues at this middle of nowhere Kansas community college. But it seems like LSU could do a hell of a lot better.
Not a bad first outing. Any new info on ZM? I wonder if the ruling on Masoli will have any impact on whether he will be allowed to transer to a D1 school? Grizzlies open season with 16-10 win over Navarro - El Dorado, KS - El Dorado Times
Not the same situation given Mettenberger is currently at a Juco and would not be coming directly from a D1 program. We will have to wait and see. He will probably take visits to some programs at the end of the season but he has interest in LSU.
I would venture to say that if ZM does manage to make it to LSU, he will probably be one of the most well behaved players we've got. In all honesty, the guy has been punished, and severely, for a mistake. Now, I know all of the fathers of little girls out there are livid when they hear about a girl being groped without consent, but, as has been said, we don't and probably won't ever know the whole story. I, personally, have seen MULTIPLE instances of a girl approaching a guy, talking and drinking with him, grinding her ass and more all over his legs on the dance floor, kissing him like a ravenous beast, and then back into a corner with him where hands move into clothing.................only to slap his face, cry, and threaten to call the cops only 30 minutes later when he tries it again, simply because her friends made fun of her and called her easy when she was drunk and emotional. I've also heard additions to the story, which may or may not be true, that indicated that the girl was the daughter of a big time contributing Bulldog booster and I've heard that Richt was quoted as saying that in hindsight, if the same thing had happened again, he probably would not have dismissed ZM off the team. Who knows? With the sexual indiscretions that had already taken place at GA, things were probably a little touchy ( no pun intended ). Anyway, the guys seems like a steal and it looks to me, especially considering our current QB situation, like we may get very lucky and manage to pull him over to the Purple and Gold. The kid made a mistake and was punished for it. I'm not going to damn him for it forever, and I really think that he's smart enough to know that he's damn lucky to get a second chance and that he better not blow it.
As we all know, Miles has ZERO tolerance for players misconduct. This kid obviously impressed Miles enough for Miles to be confident his history won't be an issue.
Like Mickey Gilly said, "The girls all get prettier at closing time." Just for Hatch: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gvgAy76aGs"]YouTube - Don't the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time?[/ame]
