yeah, we could've used him on the diamond.....oh well...life goes on...hell...anyone remember a guy who we signed was gonna be the next best thing...baseball, football..mr. lsu...uh...i think it was josh booty...
I think we really have to look at the bright side in all of this...the silver lining, so to speak... Now, there is going to be a lot less confusion on the sidelines during the games. When coach Miles says... "Lee...go in for number 9." - only one QB will run on the field.:hihi: ...Thus freeing Miles' mind to concentrate on clock management.. Besides, I believe the end of the world will come in 2012...if my astrological calculations are correct. We'll see 100 lb hailstones and the sea will become blood red...Armageddon is nearer than you think. Repent !!! (Has anyone seen my meds?)
I haven't seen this anywhere on the board yet, but what about Russell Shepard? This guy is going to be a big part of our air game for the next two years, is getting some, albeit few, reps at QB, and has all the intangibles. We recruited him not knowing what we'd get, a QB or an ATH, and we've settled on him at WR for now, but what about the future? I like him at WR for the next two years because that's where he will have the most success, but I don't see why we shouldn't throw him under center his senior year. It's a radical idea, sure, but who doesn't wanna see #10(eventually #18) with the ball in his hands on EVERY offensive play? This will put Rivers off one more year until he's a RS Jr with 3 years of learning under his belt as well. I'm seeing the stars aligning with Zach Lee going to the Dodgers because ever since I started reading about Shepard two years ago, I've wanted this guy to be the signal caller in our offense. It's very unlikely that the coaches commit to this idea, but I like it.
