Well, it's a pretty gloomy situation...and I don't claim to know anything about Bailey or TC. However, it isn't like Bailey is some bum off the street. From what I know, he was a 3* coming out of high school (like Garrett), and chose to attend LSU rather than go to NW. He wants to be a Tiger, (or is it that he has a want to be a Tiger?), even though he could've been something else. - My bet is this. We have JJ and JL for two full seasons. We have Rivers coming in as the 10th rated pro style in the country. We will take another QB this class. We will likely grab two next class. This is a blip on the radar. - Worst case scenario, in 2012, we have a RS freshman named Rivers starting, after sitting behind one of two upperclassmen QBs. That wouldn't be as bad as what we had in '08, IMO. Hell, we had a kid that truly had no business on the field in the SEC start the season, get hurt, and transfer to Harvard. I loved Hatch, but let's face it...he had no business at an SEC school. It cannot be any worse than that situation, and we have two years to prepare for it instead of 3 months like in '08. - Chin up, Tigers.
Well, he did say "for what it's worth." At which time I immediately thought to myself "not much at all."
I also added the "if true" in there as well. Regardless, up 'til now, there hasn't been any mention at all that the walk-ons were challenging anybody for anything other than holding a clip board.
I think this will be an interesting thread to dig up at seasons end. Either we all will be pleasantly surprised and laugh about this whole mess. Or we will be ranting trying to figure out who our next QB and HC will be. As said earlier this hopefully is just a blip on the radar or it could be the perfect storm.
Everyone is so bummed about lee..dude never even took a snap in a game and people are acting like we should just start getting ready for baseball....He was the backups backup..thats all..yeah maybe he would have been a very good qb someday...we may never know...It just opens the door for someone else somewhere to come to LSU...Everyone forgets stephen rivers is committed..Maybe he's learned something from Z. lee..that a true freshman can stepup and show some leadership...whatever the case Lsu will be fine...so, cook your boudin, eat your cous cous..drink a beer and sit back and enjoy the season...I think there might be some sweet surprises!
i think zl was more of an immediate need for baseball. im curious as to what bailey can do as far as qb's go.
