Something tells me that as long as Hatch is managing the game properly/efficiently, Jarrett Lee will not see the field this weekend. I really believe this is Hatch's job to either lose or share. At this point, if Hatch progresses, Lee will see very limited duty from here on in. Comments?
A saw a quote somewhere that CLM said both QB's would see a lot of time this game. I'm hoping it's just a smoke screen for ears, because I hope you are right.
I simply can't see Jarrett Lee being effective in a game of such great magnitude. As Red as said, Hatch has that poise that is mandatory in such a hostile environment. Add in his running ability and he doesn't necessarily have to throw the ball away (or even worse throw into coverage). And Hatch throws a beautiful short to medium range ball. There is no doubting that.
I dunno, I think it's impossible to say because they're both still learning. A rotation would really hurt the starter in a game like this. Seems like one guy needs time behind center to get comfortable. One guy needs to start and get settled in, they need more experience before being tossed around.
I am going to stick to my prediction from a few months ago. I think Hatch will recieve 75-85% of the snaps this weekend.
But why would Lee see any time if Hatch is doing ok? It's not like Lee can come in for a change of pace like the Flynn\RP rotation. Unless Hatch just comes unglued I don't think Lee will see any time.
maybe Lee gets in if auburn's d is effective against the run and their secondary can really press the short stuff. although considering CLM, the situation would probably have to be what ive already said and down big or down late.
Except that Lee COULD be a change of pace considering Hatch's "short"comings :hihi: in his downfield passing game. I think CLM brings him in for an obvious downfield pass twice in the first half, then brings him in to hand off in the first drive of the third quarter to catch them off guard.
