Crist - no, obviously as he went to ND behind a QB who was ranked higher than either Lee or Perrilloux. However I believe that Fisher did scare Manuel a bit when it comes to LSU's depth chart. He probably talked up RP & Lee a lot. That isn't what Manuel made his decision on, but I don't doubt that it happened and affected his mindset.
100% true. I've spoken to a source close to Dayne (post commitment) and they said that he REALLY enjoyed his visit to LSU, loved everything about it (including the laundry service  ) and gave him a lot to think about. Depth at the position was never an issue as it wasn't when he nearly committed to USC. His visit to ND just happened to be off the hook.
I don't know what could be so off the hook about it - certainly not the women or the local bar scene.
I've read a lot on here that people weren't impressed with the campus but I can tell you as much as I love to beat the irish, I've found the campus is pretty special. If you're a football fan then their history is worth considering as you take it all in. Not to mention that Dayne is Catholic. The atmosphere and the chapel made a HUGE impression on him. Had his mom been on the trip he would have committed on the spot but he waited until he came home to make the announcement out of respect for her. He's a terrific kid. In marble, over the archway entrance to the chapel, the following words are engraved............ God, Country, Notre Dame. During the season, there's a sign outside the chapel announcing that mass beings approx. 30 minutes after the end of the game. :hihi:
He's announcing in a few weeks...prob. Bama. I think our staff would like a more polished, pure QB...unless its a freak 5* talent.
he's the #2 dual threat in the country and went to the elite 11 i believe but is better then some of the QB we were and are looking at though
I wonder if our coaches have kept in contact with Crist? It may be time to start it back up if not!
