LSU as it stands right now has the best overall QB rating in the SEC.

So do I, and from what I saw today against Tennessee, JJ is going to be a big part of that. I think he'll be able to run against Bama. Haven't been a fan of JJ's game the last few years, but the way he was used today will help LSU on 11/5/11.

I think we may have seen the formula for the rest of the year. Lee will start and throw the football and manage a balanced offense. If we get up by three scores, Jefferson will come in and run long, time-consuming drives to eat up the clock.

12 Td passes with only 1 Int. as a team, I'll take this.

This is something to truly discuss. We greatly shortened the game yesterday with those amazing drives in the 2nd half. How demoralizing for an opposing offense to just stand by helplessly on the sideline, while our defense rests as they cheer on our offense.

Yep ... Order does truly matter.

The last two years, we haven't been able to sit back and cheer our offense ... we've sat on the edge of our seat in anticipation of the usual.

This year is different. .. .We have strike ability .. ability to get up fast [JLee's improved passing ability]. And, then we have a clock eating, recalicitrant machine, that moves the ball slowly, but steadily.

As I noted from my analysis of the last two years .. JJ plays his best [ie., the "good JJ"] when he is not under pressure. Putting him out there with a couple of scores advantage brings out the best in his abilities, and allows the team to take full advantage of his skill set.

    CLM is using JJ perfectly.

It was awesome to watch, to have drives lasting from 6 minutes to almost 9 minutes. The 99-yard drive was a thing of beauty.

Wow ... Jarrett Lee's QB rating is 152.4 That's a carrerr high for Lee, and at this stage in the season. :thumb:

JJ's looking good too 187, .. but then, he's only 4/7 so not much data, .. but hey, we'll take it. :thumb:

I agree except that I don't think it will be Jefferson coming in only when we get a lead. It seems more like a version of the old Wildcat when drives kinda stall, and then Les sends JJ out to shake up the Defense a bit. Then repeat that cycle throughout the entire game.

I thought JJ played outstanding yesterday with his legs. Great way to utilize the 2 QB Rotation from here on out.
