Only if he transfers to Auburn, Missouri, Memphis, Clemson, Grambling, Princeton, Towson or some other team with the nickname Tigers
No one is saying that isn't true. I know this is a common concern for you and many teams each and every year but usually is forgotten because this is the name of the game and nothing much comes of it. I don't like the trend of young QBs having the mindset that they better play early or they have to go elsewhere. It sucks IMO because the work to achieve goals is getting lost in the shuffle. Jennings worked hard from day 1 and even before he arrived on campus to get ready to compete. I bet you would hear Rettig didn't work as hard and it had nothing to do with coaches holding him back. He has the option to go get extra work during the summer at camps or with private coaches, or call up the WRs to go throw almost everyday, etc just like everyone else.
I don't know how haed Rettig worked. Maybe he worked his ass off but just wasn't as good as Jennings or Harris. I still hate to see him go
Best of luck to him. Anyone remember this former LSU QB, he will be at Zona this year along with 3 more transferred QB's. One from each school, UT, La Tech and USC. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=205181039
And we have already seen that Jennings is in fact > 8 but <10 2.0 Hmm same # that transferred out of LSU, at least they managed to keep a sr.
But the job should be wide open next year, why leave now? The job is as open as a case knife in a bar room fight..........anyone remember who use to say something along those lines? Former LSU coach...
I think he is in the discussion of being the best HS QB out of LA in the past decade. I have no clue if he will turn out to be the best frshman QB LSU has seen. The potential is there.
