And? The numbers are that Miles recruits Pocket passers.. Show me evidence to counter. Harris and Jennings are passers..
Speaking of recruiting mobile QB's..... http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2014/06/lsu_picks_up_commitment_from_2.html .
That video is of a pocket passer, not a dual threat. Outside of a few scrambles, he either dropped back or rolled out and tossed it downfield.
Has a rumor started that Cam liked Rettig better, but Les made him put Harris and Jennings in front of him? If not it is coming... soon.
I understand the coaches believe Jennings and Harris are our best 2 QB's today. Totally fine with that. But I don't like only having 2 sholarship QB's..... reminds me of '08.
So Rivers transferred hoping to see the field somewhere. Now Rettig has transferred to see the field somewhere, too. So, the loser of the Jennings/Harris duel . . . does he stick around or he is gone at the end of the year, too. To maintain some depth at QB the coaches have to play several quarterbacks and give them an opportunity to step up. At least give them some consideration for the future. Why would anyone stick around just to warm a bench?
Good point Red. So I'm thinking that both QB's will see some action early next season. If there is a clear cut winner-loser, I'm guessing the loser transfers out at the end of the season. We'll sign 2 QB's.... one from JUCO. One from HS.
Like I said, no less than 30 QB's have moved on to other teams. Like some of the fans, the better player always sits the bench. Most players think they are better than the starter. Remember this, in high school, you're the best player on the team, in college, you are among a bunch of best players. LSU is an equal opportunity school, everyone gets the same chance, its what you do with it. bama lost 2 Qb's and are waiting for their starter, a Fla. St. transfer. Hairston thought he should be kicking FG's and PAT's, transferred to Rice. Its a long list, you recruit the best, they don't see the field, they move, sometimes they move even when they see the field.
