You never know who will be holding the clipboard. There are a lot of quarterbacks now playing in the NFL who were not as highly rated and played for smaller programs. Flacco got tired of holding a clipboard, transferred, and now is a star. Matt Cassel held a clipboard for Lienart now he is starting and Lienart is holding the clipboard?

Good article. I hope our fans treated Joe McKnight's family with a little more respect when he chose USC. It hurts to lose one of your own, especially if you really want the kid to come help your program. But, its the athletes choice, and if the fit is better somewhere else, ya gotta let it go. There is NO REASON to stop talking to the kids Dad. That's just immaturity on the fans part. It will NOT help you recruit the next kid to MSU, when you act like a bunch of kindergarteners! :dis:

I hope they were treated fairly too but it's a completely different situation. Garret didn't string Miss State along until the last minute then bolt leaving them no other options. He made a tough decision and left Miss State the oppotunity to pick up another QB.

Another reason why this move by Pratt is so chicken-chit. It's a bitch move. One that will benefit LSU in the long run because the last thing you need on your team is an undependable teammate that may leave you in the lurch when it's most critical.

Sad to see all the hate Garrett and his family have gotten for him not going to MSU. Hopefully Garrett channels all the bitterness from that experience into becoming one of the greatest QBs in LSU history.

He certainly looks like a QB in that picture.

Great size, adequate mobility, great arm strength and a heady kid.

I don't know, sounds like a recipe for sucess for some reason.

Not sure why a kid would want to commit that early. Won't stop the big schools from pursuing if they really want him. And guarantees hard feelings if he changes his mind.

He looked solid and poised in the Offense/Defense game. More mobile than he generally gets credit for. I've been saying this for awhile - this kid is underrated.

He kind of reminds me of Chad Henne when I watch his highlights.

...Without the arm lol. Not saying CG has a weak arm, just that, Henne had a incredible arm.
