6" 4" 220 lbs QB from Tupelo, MS who committed to MSU back in October. Lots of people are high on this guy.

Looks like LSU has got his attention big time.

Not says he is a "soft commit" to MSU.

"I really, really like LSU," he explained. "I really like the situation there with playing time. I like the coaches there – just everything about it is good."

Will make it to our 7 on 7 camps and probably the Spring game.

Looks like we got our 2nd QB.

I watched his highlight film, it was outrageous, every pass was 30+ yards long.

There had been a bit of a rumor going around that he may commit soon.

I think he & McCarron are the 2 highest Pro-style QBs on our board, and it sure does look like we are trying very hard to get one of them to make 2 QBs in this class, which I assume the coaches have left Shepard know.

The blue-chip qb's usually commit earlier and as the top QB's make their moves, the rest will fall into place- domino affect.

McCarron=Bama...baseball or not. That said, with Shepard and Garrett, I would be MORE than pleased.:thumb:

I don't think this is much of an issue for Shepard. If we had gone after another dual threat QB, different story.

I agree with Parso that the coaching staff was very forthcoming with the fact we were signing 2 QBs this year.

Watched the latest video on Garrett.

His high school team runs the type of offense that will prepare him to be ready for D-1 football.

He looks like a polished QB already.

Word is Garrett will be moving up the ranks, or at least have consideration from rivals for doing so.

A 4th star is not out of the question.

Isn't it funny that Mr. Barkley has 12 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and is still considered the best QB and player in the country by rivals? Garrett does not move up and Shepard drops. Their ranking integrity leaves something to be desired.

Many of the Cali players are way overrated.

Probably lends to the fact that USC has only 1 crystal ball to show for all their "out of this world" recruiting classes.
