It's an awful lot of work with very little reward that keeps him from enjoying a lot of the things we enjoyed in college. If he's had enough, I don't blame him a bit for moving on.
Yeah it's alot of work but damn, that's a once in a lifetime opportunity. I don't fault the kid, I'm just saying it would have been real tough for me to do that if I were him.
yep. so this is not the kind of attrition that will do any good in that respect. good luck to him no matter what he chooses to do in life.
105 but he could of stayed on the team if he wanted. He just wants a chance to enjoy the college life outside of football. It is not like the LSU staff will lock him away from the team now.
Yeah there is an 85 man sponsorship limit but he wouldn't count toward that. Then you can have 20 more walkons. Only reason to "push" him out would be if they wanted to make room for new walkons but I can't see that happening.
I still don't understand why he did not play, there were times this year when LSU had to have some of the worst QB play in the country. Unless this guy was just no good (I don't think so) there are many major schools under the same circumstances that would have put him on the field. I really wanted to see what he could have done.
