Purple Jerseys

I know since Saban has been here we wear the purple jerseys on the 2nd game and homecoming at the player request. They want a little change from the white jerseys Does this mean we will wear purple for Arizona seeing it is the 2nd game of the season.

 

The jersey color has to be agreed on by both teams, from what I've read. If Arizona prefers their colors at home, we will most likely wear white there.

That probably right. Most likely purple for Western Illinois game.

 

oh, i thought all non conference home games were in purple?....except against "rivals" such as tulane.

i thought we were wearing purple this week.

 

I think Saban's policy is white for the home opener, purple for the other home non-conference games.

Saban's policy on jerseys is this:

Home-opener: White Jerseys
SEC-Home games: White Jerseys
Non-conference home games: Purple Jerseys except for home-opener.

 

I hope that policy is somewhat flexible - I would hate like hell to see us play Notre Dame or somebody like that in purple jerseys in our second non-conference game some year. I'm one that doesn't care much for the purple jerseys, but Saban seems to feel that it helps with recruiting.

 

gas man, from my understanding it is flexible. i think any game vs a traditional school goes with white...

i think we even wear white vs tulane....

i dont know how right i am....i mean...until an hour ago i thought we were wearing purple this weekend.
