University of Maine Athletic Director Blake James signed a two-year contract extension through the 2011-2012 athletic year. James was named the
UMaine AD in May of 2006 following a national search. He served in an interim role for 10 months prior to being hired after former AD Patrick Nero left.
James has been at UMaine since 2003, first serving as senior associate athletic director.

well, that's a compliment to CLM. i don't think he wants an NFL HC gig. just seems like he's more of a family guy and the NFL would probably take up too much of his time. just my thoughts, but if miles leaves, he's leaving for michigan.

 

NCAA coaching takes more of a coaches time than NFL coaching.

Reason I ask it cause Jones likes puppets that he can "control" them without backlash.

 

I actually think Miles would be a great NFL coach. The laid-back CEO types always seem to do well.

 

I don't think it would be a good idea. The last couple of SEC coaches that went pro didn't work out so well, and they came back. Not to mention that Jerry Jones is control freak when it comes to HIS team

 

I thought the Cowboys were grooming Jason Garrett for the job. :huh:
