Would like to thank the whole of LSU for a great 2011.
It was my induction year into being a College Football fan and I was the luckiest fan in the world.

Don't know what I can offer in return for what you have done, but I do know one thing, and that's a good punter.
I see them here walking the streets like stray wilderbeast. We have a huge swag of guys who have kicked a ball every day of their lives.
If I do see some that look the goods, I'll try and let you know via this thread.

Any ideas to get our guys enthusiastic about punting in the US?
Just got to get them interested somehow!!

Well our Aussie friend. Punting in our game is not exactly something we really want to see. It means your offense stinks if you see a lot of punting. and the last 4 years sadly we have seen a lot of punting. To be honest if we only see Brad Wing once or twice a game would be great for us. BUT it doesn't mean we love the guy as one of our own !!!!!
BUT we love us some Brad Wing and he is a BIG reason LSU had such a great season last year. Plus he is a wonderful character for our team and a great representative of LSU.

Plus Australia has already paid us back. You gave us Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, and Elle McPherson. Plus Fosters. AC/DC, Flea of the Chili Peppers, and Men at Work.
Australia has given us MUCH to celebrate.

My high school buddy lives is Towamba now (Probably spelled that wrong).
I will be in Sydney this summer (US Summer) for work. I love Australia. Would live there if I could.

Anyway thanks for the Punter and be sure ALL Aussies become LSU fans.

Plus how can you not have love for a country who mooned the queen of England..
World News - Australian who mooned Queen Elizabeth fined
"An Australian barman who mooned the U.K.'s Queen Elizabeth during her visit to the country last year has been fined about $800, according to reports."

Show them salaries for NFL Punters.... NFL minium salary is $US 390,000 and most, if not all, make more. Also, if they can kick field goals, kick off and punt, they could save a roster position and really get huge money (I don't think that has ever happened).

Also, we are fine taking other players as well, not just kickers.

And thanks for joining the board!

The Saints punter handles kickoffs as well and his salary averages $521k per year. His next contract should get him a big raise. That should be a giant incentive.

Now here is a name I have not seen in a minute, How you been cajdav?

Kicking is not just a sport in the ring, it pays well to be a professional, even if it is just for punting or field goal kicking

It looks like the idea of grabbing Australian Punters is coming to fruition. New LSU recruit Jamie Keehn hails from Ballarat, Australia.
What impresses me about him, is that he is also a Field Goal kicker, not a common skill for an Aussie rules player.
To be honest, I'm more impressed with his field goal kicking style than his punting style. Time will tell, once he becomes accustomed to US football.

( Their is a huge amount of difference between skills in Australian Rules and Rugby. Punting is an Australian rules skill, Field goal kicking is a Rugby kicking skill. It is rare to find an Australian that can do both well.)
