I would have to say Tiger fans and the Louisiana media win hands down when it comes to respect for the other teams coach and players. I was just in Baton Rouge for Christmas and was vary imprested with my fellow Tiger fans and local media in the way they talked about the Ohio State football team and coaches. upon my arrival back to Columbus Wednesday I was shocked at the hate the OSU fan base and local media here in Columbus have for our beloved Tigers and more so the hate and disrespect they have for coach Les Miles. I will not go into the details on what is being said but will say one word used by a local sports radio person here in Columbus to described Coach Miles, it was the word "Dumb". I am so proud of Tiger Nation for not sinking that level. I will wear my LSU Tiger colors with pride this next 10 days here in the heart of Buckeye Country. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crystal: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
Sad, though i realize that's probably true to some extent. Lots of idiot fans here in columbus, though i think there are many more reasonable fans out there. Curious what show it was that called Miles dumb...wouldn't be suprised if it was spielman and co...as good a player as he was, sometimes I can't seem to make any sense of what comes out of his mouth.
probably riccordati (sp?). That guys an idiot, he's our own version of Mark May. Apologies from buckeye nation for that kind of talk. LSU doesn't need any BB material, and it's a shame that they're providing some. Miles has very quickly taken LSU to current elite status in CFB, and should be credited as such. I will say, that I don't think LSU fans are immune to this behavior, though as i've said repeatedly, there are among the best fans i have ever had the pleasure of chatting with.
I think they dislike Miles more than any thing eles because he is from that team up north. You live here in Columbus?
Hey theres a lot of idiot fans everywhere. You ever notice that in most stadiums, where the visiting team takes the field they have those canopies leading from the tunnel out a bit into the field area? Its to stop "fans" from "spitting" on the players. (HIV and all that etc). Yup, thats true sportsmanship for ya! I'd like to think that everyone that supports the Tigers are above all that, but unfortunately I know better.
Unfortunately, when it comes to TSUN, even most reasonable buckeye fans seem to lose all sense of propriety. Yeah, I live here in columbus...where are you planning on watching the game?
<--- Has a CEO from Columbus, OSU grad. For Christmas they got an OSU and an LSU tshirt, cut it along the sides and sewed the logo part of the pieces together, red on one side, purple on the other. Whoever wins, the winning logo is displayed as the front part of the shirt the next day. One of my partners is taking him to the game. I think their tickets are smack in the middle of LSU fans though.
