She was one of the few posters on here who stuck to her guns in support of the Tigers and about how they simply need to get back to basics: run the ball well, protect the QB, WRs catching the ball, and minimizing TOs. Turns out she was right. Everytime someone posted something drastic or dramatic, she was responding w/a consistent message. One of the few who did that. Its very apparent Stacey knows her football.

    Agree.
I would venture to say even she was shocked our O-line played that well...if they can play to that level consistently, we are back in the hunt. They are the key to making this team a complete and dominating force.

Looks like they found their mix on the OL. Those guys had a whale of a game last night against one of the best Defensive Lines in the country. Very impressive team win by the Tigers. Lots to build on! One of the best things to come out of this is confidence. This team can now go back to work knowing they can compete against top tier teams and win. It's a new season now and everyone else on the schedule should be a little more nervous today. The Tigers are coming ...

Yeah if you block the guys in front you have a better chance of being successful running and passing. And you must catch, minimize tos and protect the qb. Groundbreaking stuff.

This doesn't change we've got issues in offensive philosophy going on 5 years and are still ranked in the bottom half of the country. It was a step in the right direction but that usually happens after a loss. It shouldnt take a loss. Let's see if they can continue or go back to sucking.

Agreed. Not saying it is groundbreaking, just simply that she kept at it when others were talking doom and gloom. To be clear, I don't disagree with the criticisms of the offense. It is frustrating. Such a simple offense really depends on execution, and that, I think, is the message. Clearly, we executed last night.

I was also of one many who was very unsure of how the offense can move the ball against the vaunted South Carolina's D-line.
The O line performance was quite a pleasant surprise. I have to give credit to the coaching staff, and more importantly, the O-line that banded together with much better execution when their backs are up against the wall, despite the adverse losses due to injury and attrition.

If you pancake the guys in front of you all night you can do whatever the hell you want. not sure how stud and les fixed them overnight but they did. Can they maintain the excellent play or was it a one time emotional night in ts.

    We will see.

Hope the O-line start to believe in themselves, and continue to go forward.....

    Stacey's a'ight...for a girl.

I wouldn't want to be one of her students cause I bet she doesn't let them slack even a little.

I had one student who "didn't wanna take" a quiz over a novel we're studying take the darn thing for 3 straight days last week--including during lunches. ;)

I wasn't sure how we would come out and perform last night. But I knew that with better execution, we'd be fine.

We are NOT last year's team, certainly, but no other team in LSU history was quite like them, either.

    I love the Tigers.
