Trump utter lack of understanding in how to lead is his biggest fault. He always believes he knows more that every one else in the room. Having Mattis leave is a bad thing. All that said, too many Joe's have bled for no measurable gain in the middle East. It is time to get our guys home. If trump had any ability to lead he would be able get his team to join him on these decisions.
Whether we believe we’ve sacrificed too many in the Middle East or not, Trump’s abject surrender to Turkey’s demand is a defeat that weakens us and destabilizes the region and world. Taking your ball and going home as he’s doing will ultimately kill more of those GI Joes. This is a bad mistake by a ignorant president who lets his personal piques rule.
You and I dont disagree on Trump....but keeping our guys on the ground, does not, nor will it ever solve the inherent problem there. Invariably we will leave and it will be no diffferent than before we got there. Keeping our guys on the ground only serves to ensure that some kids needlessly grow up without their dads. The only times in history where that place has been relativity peaceful is when a totoletarian leader is in place. Let the turks and Assad run the shit hole.
