I would argue that we don't really have great WR's. Some of them might develop, but they haven't yet (Shep never will.) Mett's two fumbles were real momentum killers for us and a big concern. Last night was really frustrating, and our team certainly seems to be missing something. But it's early, and the key will be improvement in the coming weeks.
Those are a lot of negative conclusions based on one game against a talented SEC opponent on the road. Wow. I mean, I want to see improvement in the offense, too, and feel like we are not as smooth or productive as a top 5 team should be, but I disagree w/nearly every prediction and conclusion above. The sky is not falling. We stand a good chance of being undefeated going into the post-season, and will have no more than 2 losses. Just gotta get the O-line squared away, and keep adding on to the playbook as Mett gets comfortable.
I think you guys are missing my point. I said "if" we do not improve. I never said bench anybody, fire anybody, or that the season is doomed or the sky is falling. "IF" People, IF! Most if not all morons like (Tiger Tap) refuse to accept reality and the obvious! You will wait until Bama to realize something is wrong and then call for CLM's head, as if things were perfect the entire time. Open your eyes! This team has serious work to do and improvements to make if they want to compete for a national title. It's not title or bust for me either. I'm happy with a 9-3 or 10-2, title teams are truly special and through 4 weeks this team has yet to show us they have that special chemistry. The pieces are there, the question is can we put them together. Call me negative, negatiger, what ever you wish, but sane folks call it reality. And that's why people are abondoning this forum, because any time we talk reality you jump are ass as if we are fake fans and haters. It's delusional fans like you that give the rest of us, the realistic ones us a bad name!
Agreed. It's very early, and we have pieces, just waiting on CLM to package them up. Cheers to hoping the hat pulls it off again, and I'm confident he will. But last night was way too close for comfort
Look, people freely express opinions that are all over the map here and you rightly take advantage of that. But . . . if you are going to call people that disagree with you "morons", disrespect the entire team and it's fans, and criticize the free forum that you are posting on . . . don't be a friggin' crybaby if somebody gets right in your face about it. They are free to do that as well, don't you see? So rant to your hearts content, but don't expect some kind of immunity if people react to inflammatory remarks by ranting right back at you.
I guess as long as it is a sunshine pumper rant ... we're all good with it. LSU is rocking!! .. best fricken team ever. 4-0 .. nobody can argue with that. D is great, O is great ... special teams are great. And what about those WR's ... I'm mean, if we'd had that last year, we'd a beat bama [everyone know that we outplayed Bama in both the first and second game ... we just lost the last one ... bama didn't win it .. we lost it]. And Time Management ... what other team do you know can rush the FG unit out on the field with 10 sec left o the play clock!! .. Granted we missed it, but so what. Play calling is stellar .... I mean there aint' one damn thing wrong with this team. What the hell's wrong with you people. All you peeps talking down the mighty tigers ... All I'm seeing Crystal Ball!!!
Oh it is quite possible that this team could go 8-4. Lack of coaching on the offensive side of the ball that has plagued us for years. Mett looks like a cross b/w Jefferson and Lee. He can not make a decision, his throwing mechanics are horrible, and he can not move very well. Time to stop blaming the QB's as not being talented, and turn to the coaches that do not prepare them to play. OMG there blitzing....what do I do??? The offensive coaches can only put about 10 calls together for an entire game. We have had the same playbook for awhile now. I believe we will have tough games with South Carolina, A&M, Florida, Miss State and Alabama.
