Whats sad is with the quality and depth of the defenses that we field, it shouldn't be too hard to build an offense that can spread the ball around and move the chains. 3 and Outs are getting tiresome. All we really need is an Offensive squad that can put 28 points on the board, and move the ball a little the rest of the game.
How about 29.8 points per game? That is what we averaged last year. Though you are right about moving the ball the rest of the game. http://www.cfbstats.com/2012/team/365/scoring/index.html
It was seven points less when the Tigers were in SEC play. I've seen a lot of comments about things people would change on the offense like TTailgating mentioning spreading it around more. One thing that jumped out to me—SEC play only—and it's something I'd want to see improved as a fan is the percentage of TD's to FG's when the team gets in the red zone. The scoring when in the red zone was just over 85% last season. The kicker (no pun intended) to that percentage is it was almost a 50/50 split between the team getting six or three. LSU was the only team in the SEC with more FG's than TD's.
