From their performance and lack of improvement it doesn't seem so.

here's another Top 25 ranking that has a great track record of accurately predicting the preseason AP Top 10: "how close have we come to predicting what the AP Poll releases in August? Very close! In five of the last nine years, the Early Bird Preview has nailed 9 out of the Top 10 teams. Only once in 9 preseasons have we scored less than 8 out of 10." and they show the results of how each of their predictions since 2004 stack up against the preseason AP poll

this is what they have for 2013:

    SEC West
    #1 Bama
    #5 Texas A&M
    #12 LSU
    #25 Ole Miss

    SEC East
    #4 Georgia
    #9 South Carolina
    #10 Florida

    Pac
    #2 Stanford
    #3 Oregon
    #16 Oregon State
    #21 USC

    Big Ten
    #7 Ohio State
    #18 Northwestern
    #19 Wisconsin
    #20 Nebraska
    #23 Michigan State

    ACC
    #11 Clemson
    #14 Florida State

    Big XII
    #13 Texas
    #15 Oklahoma
    #22 TCU
    #24 K State

    Other
    #6 ND
    #8 Louisville
    #17 Boise State

Six ranked opponents is about average for recent years. But four in the top-10 is a rugged season.

Like the '09 LSU/Bama game? That was a blatant one sided game for the refs.

Haha thats good chit Tap. How that game wasn't scrutinized i'll never know. If ever there was a game of refs on a payroll that'd be it.

I could give a shyte about preseason polls. We'll end up where our record takes us.

ATM at 5 is a joke. They lost more starters than us but because they play Bama early, they HAVE to be ranked high!

Bama looses to LSU and AnM this year. I have a feeling we will field a hell of an offense and a defense that is as good as ever. 38-27 LSU over Bama. I can feel it bro. Nicky gonna have a melt down. Manziel is gonna be contained by us with little problem. If we are passing as much in practice as I think we are. Our safety and corners are gonna be awesome at defending the pass.

Man, I want to believe that BAD. But for the last 5 years, we've heard the offense is going to take a big jump for a slew of reasons (JJ finaly grasping the offense, new OC Kragthorpe, new QB Mettenburger, now it's Cameron.

I'm going to take a wait and see attitude this year
