Will be close for #4 in the BCS between Florida and Oregon. I still think Florida will get the nod based on the Coaches poll that just came out. Florida is the equivolent of 1 spot behind Oregon in the Coaches poll but will be at least 4 spots ahead of them in the computer polls.
Kansas State could slip in at #6 just ahead of the Tigers in the BCS. Which means LSU needs them to lose to Texas.
Kansas State lost to a team that has 3 times the losses Of the opponents LSU has lost to. No way K State should be ahead of us.
Florida is in a really interesting position. One loss, against a top five team at a neutral site, and three wins over top 10 teams. We've seen what's happened with that kind of schedule strength before but didn't expect to see it repeat itself so soon. Heck, I didn't think we'd see the top two teams lose in the next to the last weekend of the regular season either. No one expected it in 2007, and certainly not this season.
And I will say again, after I watched KSU play the TCU teenagers I was positive they would lose, EXCEPT I did not think Baylor would send them back to the last century. Texas however has found something that works with Jonathan Gray at RB. Texas has also seen how two teams in two weeks stopped the KSU "machine" that I think would lose at least 4 times in the SEC.
It could also show that the Big 12 has no Auburns, Tenn, and UK's this year. Any team in the league can beat any other given the right circumstances.
I'm pulling for absolute chaos at its finest right now. Ultimately, the important thing is that Alabama not win the National Championship. A re-match with Bama would be karma to the nth degree.
Logical argument, but too intelligent. The polls will not drop a team that just lost its first game below a team that already has 2 losses. Their thinking won't go any deeper than that.
Agreed. If there is absolutely no scenario that can benefit LSU, let chaos reign, and for Alabama to be left out.
