1. FSU beats Florida 2. Alabama beats Georgia 3. Oregon loses to Oregon State or UCLA 4. Notre Dame loses to a Barkley-less unranked USC LSU gets a rematch with Bama in the national title game I cannot be more serious. The first 3 are likely to happen. Have fun watching the USC game.
Not sure FSU can make up enough ground, but obviously the voters could boost them high enough to face Bama instead The problem is the acc is so weak Facing a likely 6-6 Georgia tech team for the championship won't help their cause
Expanding on the question of whether FSU would jump LSU in the BCS should both teams win out, the final Harris and Coaches Poll would have (in the scenario above): 1. Alabama 2. FSU 3. LSU LSU would have to be at least 2 spots better than FSU in the computer polls on average. As of last week, LSU is 12 spots better then FSU in the computer polls (FSU is hurting badly in the computer polls due to a very weak ACC and non conference schedule). Can't see how FSU could make that big of a climb in just 2 weeks, although a win over Florida will be a big help. Again, playing a 6-6 GTech team in the ACC CG would be of absolutely no help in the computer polls. My thought is that LSU would drop into the #2 spot in the BCS just ahead of FSU. My bigger concern would be whether Notre Dame hangs on to that #2 spot even with a loss.
They should fall to 10 or worse in the rankings. Which means they will not get past LSU even with a win over Texas. If they get a soft landing, then they could become an issue. But they lost to a 4-5 Baylor team by 28 points. You simply can't put that team in consideration for a national championship game.
