Thhis is going to sound bad... Been there, done that. I'd rather meet someone else if we are fortunate enough to make it to the big game. Also, people don't like watching the same teams meet in the championship (see NBA). While it has beeen 8 years, and that's kind of a long time ago, I'd still rather see someone else.
The score wasn't indicative of how badly we beat OU in '03... remember we turned the ball over around the goal line and White and Co. had no answer for our defense. Yes it was a beat down.
You're right, it wasn't technically a "beat down". However, the final score did not show how badly OU was dominated. OU had 52 rush yds & 102 pass yds. LSU had 159 rush yds & 153 pass yds.
I was at that game and thoroughly enjoyed it. My memory of it was that we came out early and pounded OU. And in typical Saban fashion, which we all now know, we got conservative and the game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. Still, that game was quite a bit closer than what we did to tOSU. We just flat out lit their assses up. But once again, the score seemed to make the game closer than it really was. The difference in our victories over OU and tOSU was a mere 7 pernts.
