You gotta call the timeout on that play that didn't get a first down inside the 35 with the clock running at about 35 seconds, correct? I mean, getting 7 has to be your desired result here.
What do you think the odds of a team like Stanford who was all but left for dead before this weekend to get in? Unlikely they would go over Alabama, but say we win out and Stanford wins the Pac 12, plays a championship game while Alabama is idle and Vtech loses. think the west coast may want to push them bast bama?
Don't know if this is the right thread, but the Gumps seem to think that they're a shoo-in for the National Championship if they beat Auburn. They're just assuming as a matter of course that Arkansas will beat us. :hihi: We now need LSU to beat Arkansas! (Seriously!) I don't understand why they think they'd jump us in the unlikely event that Arkansas do beat us. Wouldn't we stay ahead of them since we'd have the same record and beat them in the regular season?
If we win out and bama wins out, its pretty likely it will be a rematch with bama. This is mainly a product of everyone else losing who was ahead of them
I agree with the only caveat being whether there is any other 1-loss team out there that the voters could get away with sneaking past bama if they really want to avoid the rematch. This is where Virginia Tech, for example, may come into play. That said, we all know who the top 2, and now to 3 teams in the country are.
But they're saying if they win and we lose, they would get to compete in the NCG. I just don't see where they're coming from with that. I can't see Bama jumping past LSU since we beat them. I could be wrong though.
I don't get it either,.. I guess I'll trust that Chip had a plan. I think that's a good point about Oregon anyhow, no big game pressure experiance, and only 10 prior attempts all season. However, 40 yards is beyond his range, our longer kicker is out with mono.
Yeah, he caught a break on the offsides call. He ended up missing from 37. He looked terrified on that last kick. Big stage. Young dude from San Bernadino County making the kick of his life against the big, bad college team from his home town region.
